When having a cold..

I love ginger! Not only does the ginger root have a great taste and spices up food, it also turns out to be super efficient. You can for example use it as a home remedy for indigestion, nausea, and to ward off colds, flu, and a sore throat. Here is the easiest recipe for a nice cup of ginger tea. Go ahead and treat yourself with a healthy energy boost to spice up the day:

  • Peel the ginger root and slice it into thin slices.
  • Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan. Once it is boiling, add the ginger.
  • Cover it and reduce to a simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  • Strain the tea.
  • Add honey and lemon to taste.

If you are in a hurry I can warmly recommend you to try Yogi's Ginger Tea with lemon.
